Pferde-Fotoshooting Nr. 2

Einige werde vermutlich mein letztes (und erstes) Pferdefotoshooting gesehen haben, bei dem ich in der Reithalle in sehr dunklem Stil fotografiert habe. Letztens stand ein zweites Fotoshooting mit dem selber Pferd an, dieses Mal aber draußen auf dem Reitplatz. Vom Setting her habe ich dabei neben dem aufgehenden Sonnenlicht drei Studioblitze am Rande  der Pferdekoppel positioniert (und der Einfachheit halber gleich festgetaped), um so in einer Ecke eine gute Aus- und Beleuchtung zu erzielen. Kein leichtes Unterfangen, denn ein Pferd steht nicht eine Stunde lang auf einer Stelle und die sich verändernde Sonne galt es ebenfalls einzuplanen. Diese vier Lichtquellen sind übrigens auch in dem Auge des Pferdes wiederzufinden. Ein sehr schönes Portrait konnte ich dabei machen als das Pferd den Kopf nach hinten wendete, wobei das Streiflicht eines Blitzes die rechte Seite aufhellt und der strahlendblaue Himmel wie ein Studiohintergrund ausschaut.

Photoshooting of a Horse No. 2

Some of you may remember my last (and first) photoshooting of a horse, which I performed in a riding hall with a dark style. Recently I had my second photoshooting with the same horse but this time we’ve been outside on the paddock. For the setting I’ve choosen three studio flash lights beside the rising sun and positioned them all along the fence (and taped them to the fence). Finally I had very good light in one of the corners of the paddock – not easy as the horse will really not be all the time on the same position. Also the sun had been part of the light calculation as the light changed every 5-10 minutes. You can see all four light sources in the eye of the horse. I was able to capture one very nice portrait while the horse looked back and where the light of one flash lightened the right part of the picture and the blue sky was very neutral and in black&white looking like the studio background.
