Marco-Polo-Tower, HafenCity Hamburg

Die HafenCity in Hamburg zählt ohne Zweifel zu einem der aktuell dynamischsten Projekte in der Stadtentwicklung und im Bereich Moderner Architektur in Deutschland (leider liegt das Revier nicht mehr direkt um die Ecke für mich). Hier im Photoblog habe ich schon mehrere Ansichten des mit einem Design Anward ausgezeichneten Towers gezeigt:

Jetzt habe ich mich dem Tower erneut gewidmet, um basierend auf einer früheren Photographie die Architektur in seiner Umgebung, dem Strandkai, in seinen Details aufzulösen, die maßgeblichen und prägenden Strukturen aber zu erhalten bzw. zu verstärken. Das Werk ist mit Photoshop erstellt, wobei ich mit mehreren Ebenen gearbeitet habe, welche unterschiedlich bearbeitet, beschnitten und verbunden sind.

Marco-Polo-Tower, HafenCity Hamburg

The HafenCity in Hamburg is counting to the moment to the most dynamic projects within the urban development and in the area of modern Architecture (unfortunately this area isn’t  arount the corner anymore). I’ve shown serveral  different views of this award winning tower in my photoblog in the past:

• 2010-03-10: part of the facade
• 2010-06-01: angular, tinted capture
• 2010-10-16: angular, tinted and desaturated capture

Now I have applied oneself to that tower and worked based on an earlier photography of this architecture and its environment at the strandkai in order to dissolve the details but to preserve the essential and formative structures or maybe to emphasize them. I’ve created this work with photoshop and many layers that I changed, cropped and combined individually.
